Program Overview
Tooth decay is one of the most common childhood diseases in the United States. It is 5 times as common as asthma and 7 times as common as hay fever. Because dental care is so important, the American Dental Association recommends that a dentist examine a child within six months of the eruption of the first tooth and no later than the first birthday. Children (and adults) should have a dental check-up every six months.
