Women & Infants Center
About the Women and Infants Center
The Women & Infants Center is the region’s most advanced integrated medical center dedicated to women’s and newborn’s health – from specialized preventive care to the latest comprehensive treatments for fetal and newborn care. It is only through the unique partnership of three top medical institutions -- Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Washington University Physicians and St. Louis Children’s Hospital -- that the Center is able to provide expert care for women at every stage of life and their infants.
With a Level IV Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) – the highest level possible -- we provide the most advanced level of treatment available for critically-ill newborns and those requiring special monitoring. Our NICU is the only one in the region that is directly connected to labor and delivery, keeping mothers close to their babies during care.
We offer every pediatric specialty for your newborn throughout its life – from advanced heart care for congenital heart conditions, therapy and surgery, to world-class pediatric neurology and neurosurgery capabilities offering the latest treatments and therapies.
