Navigating a child’s healthcare journey can be challenging. That’s why so many patients rely on the Center for Families (CFF), a donor-funded hub that provides families with necessary resources while their child is receiving care at St. Louis Children’s.
We believe that a family’s basic needs such as food, clean clothes, a shower or a quiet place to rest must be met in order to become active participants in their child’s care. The CFF allows St. Louis Children’s to offer this support in a safe, welcoming space that is open 24/7.
More than 7,500 families a year receive support from the St. Louis Children’s Center for Families. Only through philanthropic investments are we able to sustain the following services:
Experience
We provide quiet spaces, laundry machines, shower facilities and other amenities to create positive experiences for all patient families.
Engagement
Once they arrive, family members receive a warm welcome from our dedicated CFF staff, who work alongside families to offer personalized support wherever possible.
Education
We offer family-centered education and health information resources translated in multiple languages, along with computers and printers available in the business center.
Equity
We ensure doctor-patient communication is easily understandable throughout every stage of care. Additionally, the Center supports families with equitable access to healthy food – providing nutritious, shelf-stable options on a weekly basis.
Your donations will directly impact every child, family and caregiver who walks through the doors of St. Louis Children’s. Together, we will create the best possible healthcare experience for every patient we serve.
