The Child Life Services play program operates out of the The Marian Alexander Playroom, also known as the Child Life Playroom. The child life playroom offers a variety of toys and activities to support all ages and interest. Patients and families can participate in individual or small group activities and check out items to use in their rooms when the playroom is closed. The child life playroom is supervised by a member of the child life department so even if a patient does not have a caregiver present with them, patients are still allowed to visit and play under the safe care of our staff. The playroom is also considered a “safe” place within the hospital, where no medical procedures or conversations can happen.
Hours of Operation:
Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 12:00pm, 1:00pm – 4:00pm and 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Saturdays/Sundays from 9:00am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 5:00pm.
