The Teen Lounge is available for adolescents 12 and older. They can participate in planned activities, express themselves through arts and crafts or just take a break from the hospital routine.
Hours of Operations:
Monday – Friday 1:00pm–4:00pm and 5:00pm–7:00pm
Saturday/Sunday 1:00pm–5:00pm
What Is There to Do in the Teen Lounge?
Teens can participate in a variety of activities including:
Video games
Art and crafts (a large variety of art and craft projects rotate frequently)
Using computers
Playing card or board games with peers, visitors, and/or staff
Listening to music on our surround sound stereo system
Expressing yourself with graffiti art on the windows
Hanging out and enjoying the space
Can Siblings Visit the Teen Lounge?
Siblings and visitors ages 12 and older may visit the Teen Lounge if they are with the patient they are visiting.
Siblings of patients hospitalized in our intensive care units (NICU, PICU, and CICU) who are 12 years and older may visit the Teen Lounge with a caregiver present.
Siblings under 12 years may visit the Sibling Playroom.
What If a Patient Is Unable to Leave the Hospital Room?
If a patient is unable to visit the playroom, staff are happy to provide activities for the patient, family and visitors to use in the patient’s own room.
