Cancer Therapy
Our program provides state of the art care for children with all forms of cancer. As the pediatric branch of the Siteman Cancer Center, the only NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the state, families can be assured that their child is benefiting from the best resources available. We are active members of the Childrens Oncology Group and provide treatments for virtually every form of cancer that exists in children.
Our team provides comprehensive care for our children to address all of their needs both medical and non-medial. Physicians from the Washington University School of Medicine are specifically trained to treat children with cancer providing expertise from one of the top medical schools in the country. Support staff include dedicated nurse practitioners, pharmacists, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, child life specialists, music and art therapists who are all not only specifically trained to address the needs of children with cancer but who also have many years of experience assures that every patient can receive the “total package” to provide the best experience for patients and their families
Families can be assured that they will have access to every means to provide therapy that strives to cure their child of this disease. Our new therapeutic agents program provides access to new therapies that are not available at other institutions in the region. Other cutting edge treatments including our gamma knife facility intraoperative MRI facility are testaments that we provide only the best in clinical care.
