On June 2, St. Louis Children’s Hospital (SLCH) will launch Epic, a leading electronic health records (EHR) system, in which all of a patient's information appear on a single electronic medical record -- and the patient can access that record securely online.
Referring physicians are encouraged to enroll in EpicCare Link, a web-based application for connecting BJC/SLCH patient information with community physicians and care givers who are not part of the hospital’s medical staff. This read-only application includes service-oriented features that allow providers to place radiology and lab orders at the hospital for their patients.
