Yasmeen Daud, MD, has accepted the newly created position as clinical documentation improvement (CDI) physician champion for St. Louis Children’s Hospital (SLCH).
In this new role, Dr. Daud will partner with the SLCH CDI team and the WUSM Faculty Practice Plan to make the documentation process efficient, workflow-friendly for clinicians, compliant with existing documentation standards, and useful for care delivery, decision support, quality measurement, research, and physician and hospital charge capture.
“Her role is especially important as we develop the new EPIC platform, says F. Sessions Cole, MD, SLCH chief medical officer. “Dr. Daud's new responsibilities will complement her other roles in the Pediatric Hospitalist Division and leverage her experience as a clinician and teacher.”
