Saint Louis Science Center, May Hall

The Children’s Holiday Festival (CHF) has three primary goals: create awareness of St. Louis Children’s Hospital (SLCH) to a broad spectrum of the St. Louis Community; raise funds for SLCH; and, demonstrate the commitment of the corporate community to children’s health.

Peabody Energy has partnered with SLCH for this event that will feature approximately 80 elaborately decorated holiday trees.

HONORARY TREES – 40 six to seven foot trees, $2000 sponsorship. Sponsors partner with a patient from SLCH. Storyboards tell the story of the patient and family’s experience at the hospital and the tree is donated to the patient family after the event. DESIGNER TREES – Up to 25 trees. These trees are available for designers to decorate according to the policies and procedures. The trees will be auctioned the evening of the Preview Party or sold during the public event. All trees with signage recognition provided by SLCH will be on display for public viewing. FOCAL TREES – Goal of 15 trees, $5,000 -- $25,000 sponsor level options. The sponsor is responsible for designing a pre-lit tree provided by the SLCH or self purchased. These elaborately decorated trees are then auctioned at the Preview Party. All trees with sponsorship recognition provided by SLCH will be on display for public viewing. RAFFLE TREES – three separate raffles for purchase. A shopping, dining and merchandise gift card tree(s), and Swarovski tree.

OTHER – we are looking for trees representing our St. Louis sports teams, Cardinals, Blues, Rams, etc. for auction during the event.

Wednesday, December 2 – the event will officially kick off in the evening with the Preview Party including a cocktail reception, oral and silent auction. Those invited to the party will be sponsors, board members, donors, designers, and committee members. A 2^nd year event goal is to expand this list of invitees to friends and contacts of committee members, designers, and community members that may have an affinity for SLCH.

The public phase of the event will open on Friday, December 4 and close Sunday, December 6. Our goal is to attract at least 5000 visitors over a three-day period. At 8:00a, Saturday morning, there will be a private breakfast event for patients, families and Honorary Tree sponsors.
